Originally planning to work in Calcha on an irrigation system, our team quickly identified a need for a way to connect people's homes to their crops in the wet season, during our preliminary assessment trip there. After a second trip in 2015 to collect more data to refine our plans, eight of our members spent eight weeks in the summer of 2016 implementing our design for a 50-meter supension bridge there. The following summer, we improved irrigation channels there in a second implementation trip. Finally, we returned in 2018 for a monitoring trip to ensure our projects remain long-lasting solutions to the problems identified within the community.
