The Business subteam is an interdisciplinary group which is responsible for raising funds for both the international and domestic projects through fundraising, sponsorship, and events. Over the past three years, the business subteam has successfully run crowdfunding and giving day campaigns (Access to Water: Irrigation for Tanzania and Sustainable Housing Units (SHUs) - Portable Homes for All) to raise over $60,000 for both the design and implementation of a water irrigation system in Sunuka, Tanzania and a portable home to assist members in need from our local community. The team continues to think of creative ways to engage alumni and the wider public to donate and learn more about our projects. In the past, the team also designed a text-to-image processor to streamline communication for the Tanzania subteam's irrigation system installation. In using natural language processing and machine learning techniques, the team executed the design of a rule and constraint based algorithm which inputs instructional text and outputs corresponding image sequences.
